Dear Advisory Board Members,

two important pieces of information:
1. study participation:

The Vienna research group led by R. Wenzl has published a paper investigating whether the ratio of adhesion molecules in the blood of endometriosis patients can be used for diagnosis. This positive result is now to be validated by an industry-independent, prospective, multicenter study. Planned number of cases 300. Details can be found in the attached slides. It would be great if enough people from the SEF circle – especially from the clinical-scientific centers – could be found to cooperate so that the study can be carried out quickly. The e-mail addresses for registration can be found on the last slide.
I hope for a high level of commitment.

2nd surgical course on cadavers:

As some already know, Prof. Sr. H. Tinneberg and Dr. M. Hippach are once again attempting to offer a – small – group of interested (and committed) endo surgeons a unique opportunity to hone their surgical/anatomical skills. This workshop is planned well in advance. It will take place in Bangkok between November 2019 and January 2020. Enclosed you will find the information flyer!

Congress information:
The meeting of the SEF together with the EEL at the 57th Congress of the DGGG was a complete success. The topic of endometriosis was also addressed in a main session at the congress. Not only the content but also the number of listeners was impressive – many had to stand!

A registration form will then be sent to you. As soon as the SEF Board has received the completed form, an appointment is made for the audit and then the certification certificate is issued.
