Qualifications

For interested colleagues, the endometriosis centers organize courses, training sessions and work shadowing on practice-relevant problems of diagnostics, differential diagnostics, surgical therapy, etc.

From 2013, the SEF held special seminars to qualify as an “endometriosis specialist” for gynaecologists in private practice in order to improve diagnostics, raise the quality of care and strengthen the network of certified centers. The number of participants was limited; a certificate was issued after passing the CME exam.

Since 2022, the qualification courses have been organized by the AG Endometriosis (AGEM) in the DGGG. For details and planned events, see Endo I – AGEM (ag-endometriose.de).

Special training courses in endoscopic surgical techniques see also: Course program of the AG gynaecological endoscopy www.ag-endoskopie.de

The European Endometriosis League has been offering intensive courses lasting several days as the “Endometriosis Masterclass” since 2021. The list of upcoming events can be found here!

Qualification seminars for gynecologists

  • We therefore offer the seminar individually as a webinar.

Qualification seminar Hanover

The scientific advisory board of the Endometriosis Research Foundation offers a special form of further training for motivated gynecologists in order to bring the topic of endometriosis more into focus.
of interest and to improve care for the women affected. Many gynaecologists have not yet recognized this disease as a relevant problem or classify it as uninteresting. e.g. survey about
interesting topics at the Gyn.Fortbildungskolleg:
Endometriosis is in second-to-last place – or – Frau&gesund (information brochure of the professional association) Topic reduction due to lack of funds was necessary: Endometriosis was deleted.
Furthermore, the “certified endometriosis center” award is a distinguishing feature, a marketing opportunity and a qualification feature. This raises the question (also from the point of view of the KV, the medical associations, the health insurance funds): What more can a doctor who is qualified in this way do? The acquisition of a certificate as proof of qualification
by means of a one-day practical training course with qualified speakers and a final examination with approx. 40 CME questions should take both these points into account.

After a successful start in Cologne and Mannheim, a further qualification seminar will be held on July 5, 2014 in Hanover in cooperation with the Women’s Clinic of the MHH (Director Prof. Dr. P. Hillemanns). The program can be viewed and downloaded at the following link.
